Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if I don't qualify?
You’ll receive a full refund if you don’t qualify.
Are there any hidden fees?

No, we believe in transparent pricing.

How much does this cost?

It typically ranges from $89 to $149 depending on your needs.

Is this a real ESA letter?

Yes, it’s signed by licensed healthcare provider under relevant laws.

Will my landlord accept this?

Yes, landlords are legally required to accept a valid ESA letter under the Fair Housing Act.

What is on an ESA letter?

A valid ESA letter must be on a licensed professional’s official letterhead with their signature and license number. It also needs to confirm your disability and explain how the animal specifically supports your mental health.

What qualifies a dog as a "service dog"?

To qualify as a service dog, the animal must be individually trained to perform specific tasks that directly mitigate a handler’s physical or mental disability which limits major life activities.

Can any breed be a service dog? (And do they need vests?)

Yes, any breed can be a service dog and businesses cannot exclude a dog based on breed alone. Many handlers use a leash & tethered (required by law), and vest, ID tags and cards (optional) so their service dog can move freely without distraction.

What 2 questions can a business legally ask?

When a disability is not obvious, businesses may only ask if the dog is a service animal required for a disability and what specific tasks it performs; they are strictly prohibited from requesting medical proof or a task demonstration.

Can I be denied housing because of my ESA?

Generally, a landlord cannot deny you housing for having an ESA unless the specific animal is proven to be dangerous or causes an undue financial or administrative burden on housing management.

Are pet fees waived for ESAs?

Yes, ESA owners are exempt from pet fees by law.

What types of pets qualify as ESAs?

Common ESAs include dogs, cats, rabbits, and birds.

Is there a size limit for my ESA?

There is no federal limit, but landlords may have housing space rules.

How do I get started?

Just fill out our pre-screening form to begin the process.

How long does it take to receive the letter?

Usually within 24 to 48 hours after evaluation.

Can I fly with my ESA?

Airlines now require pets to travel as regular pets, but ESA letters may still help.

What other rights do I have?

You’re protected under the Fair Housing Act for housing and sometimes local travel rules.
